The Michigan First Foundation extends Michigan First Credit Union’s commitment to making a positive difference in the communities we serve.

Established to support the Michigan First Scholarship Program and charitable organizations, the Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization fully owned by Michigan First Credit Union. Through scholarships, charitable giving, community partnerships, and fundraising, the Foundation helps create opportunities for individuals and organizations throughout Michigan.

How the Michigan First Foundation makes an impact

Charitable Giving

Each year, the Michigan First Foundation provides financial support to more than 85 charitable organizations throughout Metro Detroit and Grand Rapids. These organizations help strengthen our communities through social, cultural, educational, and community-focused programs.

College Scholarships

Up to $85,000 in financial assistance is awarded annually to help students continue their education and work toward their goals.

Education has always been an important part of the Michigan First mission. Through the Michigan First Scholarship Program, the Foundation awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors and current college students each year.

Raymond Dudus Memorial Golf Classic

Golf for a great cause

The annual Raymond Dudus Memorial Golf Classic brings golfers, businesses, and community partners together to raise funds for the Michigan First Scholarship Program.

Sponsorship opportunities are available at multiple levels, giving organizations another way to support students while participating in one of the Foundation’s signature fundraising events.

More information about our annual golf outing will be released in early 2027..
