How does the Refer a Friend program work?

It's easy! Simply log into your account through the Michigan First mobile app or online banking, and share your unique referral code with friends and family members. When they open a checking account and make 20 debit card purchases or reach $500 in direct deposits within 60 days, you will each get $100 deposited into your account.*

*Both referring member and friend participant must be at least 17 years of age. Referring member must have a Credit Union account in good standing. Friend participant must not have a current Credit Union account as a primary or joint account holder and must not have previously held a Credit Union account as a primary of joint account holder that was charged off by the Credit Union. Friend participants must present a validly generated referral code, meet the membership eligibility requirements, and complete the application process using one of the Credit Union's digital channels. Friend participants opening a qualifying Checking Account must utilize that account to (a) establish a direct deposit and receive direct deposits totaling at least $500 over the first 60 days or (b) activate a debit card and use the card to make at least 20 purchase transactions on that Checking Account during the first 60 days. In addition, the Checking Account may not have any outstanding unpaid overdraft or Courtesy Pay fees or a negative balance at the end of the 60-day period. Some restrictions may apply.
