The Michigan First Foundation was established to fund the Michigan First Scholarship Program and support charitable and community organizations. As a non-profit 501(c)(3) fully owned by Michigan First Credit Union, the Foundation furthers the credit union’s deep commitment to education and charitable giving in the communities Michigan First serves.
- Charitable Giving: Each year, the Foundation provides financial support to more than 85 charitable organizations throughout metro Detroit and Grand Rapids that have social, community, cultural or educational impact.
- Scholarships: The Foundation awards scholarships to dozens of graduating high school seniors and college students each year. In all, the Foundation awards up to $85,000 in financial aid annually.
- Donations: The Foundation is supported by tax-deductible contributions. Your contribution will help high school graduates cover their college costs, as well as funding a Scholarship Program for current college students who need additional financial assistance to complete their education.
