2020 scholarship question

Due to the unprecedented situation students are currently facing, Michigan First is extending the scholarship application deadline to Friday, April 17.

 

Entry period begins at 9:00 a.m. on February 24, 2020 and ends at 5:00 p.m. on April 17, 2020.

 

There are four (4) entry categories:
– High School Senior Video (Maximum of 2 Minutes)
– High School Senior Essay (Maximum of 500 Words)
– College Student Video (Maximum of 2 Minutes)
– College Student Essay (Maximum of 500 Words)

Eligible entrants may enter only once, in only one category.

The scholarships in each category will be awarded as such:
– 1 Gold = $5,000
– 1 Silver = $4,000
– 2 Bronze = $3,000

In addition, $1,000 scholarships may be awarded to select applicants. The number of additional awards will be dependent on the number of entrants and at the discretion of Michigan First.

Through video or essay, tell us if you could live in any time period from the past, which would it be and why for a chance to win.

A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required to be eligible to apply.
Please ensure the email address you provide will be active and frequently checked for the entire year.
It must be an accredited two or four year program to be eligible.
Your transcript or report card must include your cumulative GPA, your name and your school's name.
Your video must be public.
500 words or less.
