Galentine’s Day on a Budget

Back to Blog

Valentine’s Day is time when couples spend too much money on candy and dinner, and expectations run high. This year, avoid the stress of overspending with your partner and celebrate Galentine’s Day with your favorite gals instead! Here are some ideas we love.

Host a Bachelor Marathon

On ABC’s reality show, love is in the air. You and your gals can cozy up on the couch, eat lots of chocolate and spend the night swooning over this season’s heartthrob. Everyone can pitch in a couple of dollars for pizza and snacks to make it budget-friendly. Would you accept his rose?

Babe Brunch

Going out to brunch can get expensive. By the time you order coffee, pancakes and a side of fruit, you’re looking at a hefty tab. Instead of fighting the crowd of lovebirds, invite your gals over for a potluck brunch! To stick with the Valentine’s Day theme, challenge everyone to bring something heart-shaped that’s red or pink. Can you say red velvet pancakes?

Puppy Palooza

Do you and your gals have furry friends? Host a puppy play-date! Meet in the park for the ultimate date day. Bring your pup’s favorite toys and treats – and something sweet for your fur mama friends – and enjoy a fun day playing in the snow!

Spa Day Savings

Every gal loves a good spa day – whether it’s a manicure, pedicure or facial, everyone needs time to rest and unwind. Instead of spending $50+ at the salon, host a spa day instead! Every gal can bring their favorite color nail polish and face mask, and everyone can help each other paint and paste. Don’t forget to wear your pajamas and put on a cheesy love movie – like The Notebook, Pretty Woman or Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

Regardless of how you spend the holiday, make sure you spend it with people you love.

What is your favorite Galentine’s Day activity? What do you and your gals do for each other? We would love to know!
