Young & Free Michigan helps young adults get financially savvy as they gain their independence.  With fun blogs, videos, contests and a special First Gear account  catered toward young people, Young & Free Michigan is a great resource to help get your finances in check. Children 12 and under who open accounts at Michigan First get a special kids’ newsletter that teaches the basics of saving money. Check out our accounts.

Student Branches

Michigan First partners with several local school districts and academies in Metro Detroit and Grand Rapids to provide financial education programs in elementary and middle schools as well as deposit transactions in student-run branches at high schools and academies.
