When you arrive for your donation appointment, please bring one of the following forms of identification with you:
- Driver's License
- State-issued ID
- Student ID Card
- Passport, Visa, or Green card
Eligibility Requirements:
- If you have recently donated blood, please ensure that you meet the time requirements for an additional donation. Whole blood can be donated every 56 days (8 weeks), and red cells can be donated every 112 days (16 weeks).
- The State of Michigan permits those as young as 16 to donate blood with consent of a parent or guardian. These donors must be in good health and meet the minimum criteria to donate. Verify your eligibility with this height and weight chart.
- Most medications will not deter you from donating blood, but be sure to check the medication deferral list to ensure you are eligible. If you are on antibiotics for an infection, you must wait until two days after your course of treatment is complete to make a donation.
